Welcome to Will County Mothers of Twins Club |
|
STORK MOM SERVICES The club pairs up an experienced
mother of multiples with a new, expectant member. The stork mom provides phone support to the expectant member and is also
the contact liason for the club. She also gives advice on twin pregnancy and parenting and answers any questions the
expectant mom may have. The stork mom informs of our services (e.g., library, coupons, formula, meals) and would be the person
to contact to announce the birth of your twins. Members who wish to be on the list to volunteer to be a stork mom would inform
the 3rd VP of Support Services. MEALS SERVICE Provided to members who have just delivered their multiples. Can
also be provided to those members who are in need because of other difficult situations (such as hospitalization). Expectant
members can inform their stork moms when they would like to start their meals (either right after delivery or later when their
initial help leaves). This information would be forwarded to the 3rd VP to coordinate the meals. If
meals are needed, the 3rd VP can also be contacted directly or the 3rd VP may contact members who might
need meals. The club usually provides two
meals. Any members who would like to volunteer to make meals for these moms
(even if it is just one meal a year) would inform the 3rd VP of Support Services. ***COMING FALL 2009*** - BABYSITTING EXCHANGE Plans are underway for the unveiling of WCMOTC's Babysitting Exchange program. Members who enroll in this
program have the opportunity to earn babysitting hours by helping fellow club members too. Enrollment is required, and can
be done through the 3rd VP of Support Services starting in August 2009. The Babysitting Exchange is scheduled to begin in
September. Who better to babysit for your multiples than other parents of multiples? Additional details of the program will
be available soon.
